As part of RSPB’s annual ‘Big Schools’ Bird Watch’ Year 3 made a variety of bird feeders

to hang around the school playground.

Year 3 had a go at creating their own ancient Greek pottery last week, here are some photos of the results.

In R.E next week we will be learning about the Hindu god Krishna, you can read the story of Krishna’s birth using the slide show below.

Today in Literacy Year 3 were writing descriptions of animals using the class
book ‘All because of Jackson’ as inspiration.

This was quite a tricky task as the children were not allowed to mention the name
of the type of animal they were talking about. Can you guess what animal Angel is
describing?

In Religious Education Year 3 have been learning about the Hindu celebration of Janmashtami. Peter did some excellent work on this in which he explained the
Dahi-Handi (human pyramid) ritual, an important part of the Janmashtami festival.
